Running is often described as the ultimate love-hate relationship.

There’s plenty to love. Running improves physical health, provides mental clarity, relieves stress, and creates a tremendous sense of accomplishment—whether you’re finishing a challenging workout, crossing a race finish line, or setting a new personal best.

But there are challenges, too. The struggle to get out the door, the burning lungs and sore muscles, the setbacks from injury, and the moments when every part of you wants to slow down or quit. Every runner, regardless of experience level, has faced these obstacles.

As a residency-trained, board-certified sports physical therapist and running coach, I’ve experienced both sides of that relationship firsthand.

My wife, Megan, and I have been active members of the running community for more than a decade. As a former NCAA Division I runner and lifelong endurance athlete, I understand the dedication, discipline, and resilience required to pursue ambitious goals.

Professionally, I’ve dedicated my career to helping runners stay healthy and perform at their best. I’ve worked with athletes of all levels—from first-time 5K runners to marathoners and ultrarunners—guiding them through injuries, helping them return to training, and supporting them as they pursue new milestones.

My approach combines evidence-based coaching with the expertise of a sports physical therapist. By addressing both performance and injury prevention, I help runners train with confidence, build consistency, and achieve their goals while staying healthy throughout the year.

Whether you’re preparing for your first race, chasing a personal record, or returning from an injury, I’m committed to helping you enjoy the sport and become the strongest runner you can be.
